The eight wonders of the Ionian

    Beaches

The eight wonders of the Ionian are: the beaches of Capo Bianco, Le Cannella, Capocolonna, Capo Cimiti, Spiagge Rosse, Capo Rizzuto, Marinella and Sovereto.

    Capo Bianco
The beach is delimited by high white cliffs that plunge into a crystal clear turquoise blue sea in a delicate balance of colors and emotions. A beach not to be missed…

    Le Cannella
Le Cannella beach is located in the splendid area of Isola di Capo Rizzuto. It is a beach of fine white sand, bathed by a crystalline sea. In the proximities there are several accommodation facilities.

    Capo Colonna
Capo Colonna beach is quite narrow and consists mostly of fine sand that alternate with wider cliffs. The seabed of this beach is quite rich in marine vegetation.

    Capo Cimiti
In the manificent waters of the Ionian, a few kilometers south of Capo Colonna, you will find one of the most beautiful headlands in the area, known as Capo Cimiti, jutting out into a sea of crystal clear waters and rocky shoreline.

    Spaggie Rosse
So called – read beaches – due to the color of the sand. The coast is bathed by a beautiful sea and is surrounded by hills of clay that can be used for the care and well-being of the body (especially against rheumatism, as well as softening and smoothing the skin).

    Capo Rizzuto
The beach is mainly made up to cliffs. It is part of the Capo Rizzuto Marine Protected Area, where a large number of different species of marine fauna and flora are found.

    Marinella
Also located within the Capo Rizzuto Marine Protected Area, Marinella beach is sandy and is characterized by the presence of small bays. It has been awarded by Lagambiente among the best Calabrian places.

    Sovereto
One of the most beautiful beaches in the area thanks to its location and its beautiful seabeds. Access by land is through a pine forest that remains dense and virgin almost to the beach.
